A Career in Leadership, A Calling to Coach.

About ME

After three decades in leadership roles, I now bring that experience to guiding high-capacity professionals toward greater clarity, alignment, and purpose in their work and lives.

I spent 30 years in financial services, including 19 years at Citi in senior roles across Executive Development, Talent, Learning, and Diversity. There, I helped establish Citi’s executive coaching practice, designed and led flagship leadership and high-potential programs, and partnered globally to strengthen culture and build future-ready talent.

My path into leadership development began earlier and unexpectedly—as a weight-loss counselor leading “Behavior Breakthrough” classes. That work gave me an early and lasting lesson: meaningful change is whole-person work. It requires patience, structure, empathy, and an understanding of the systems shaping people’s lives.

In my mid-twenties, what was meant to be a six-month stay in Mexico became nine years. I studied at UNAM, completed a diploma in Pastoral Psychology, pursued graduate work in clinical psychology, and taught across diverse cultural contexts. Those years—along with later leadership work across Latin America—deepened my commitment to formation, cross-cultural understanding, and human development.

Along the way, I also learned the cost of over-commitment. Balancing senior leadership roles, family life, church leadership, and doctoral studies stretched over sixteen years taught me that growth is rarely linear, mastery takes time, and none of us change alone. That lesson shapes how I coach today.

I am an Integral Coach® certified through New Ventures West and an organizational psychologist. My work is grounded in faith, values, and evidence-based practice, supporting growth across the whole of life—vocational, relational, physical, financial, and spiritual—so people can lead with integrity, courage, and steadiness under pressure.

I’ve been married for over 30 years and am the father of three daughters. Outside of coaching, I’ve completed five marathons (slowly but persistently), enjoy strength training, the outdoors, and travel. Like many of my clients, I remain a work in progress. Growth is a lifelong practice—and that is what continues to draw me to this work.

I lived in Mexico for 9 years, where I met my wife. That cross-cultural experience shaped the way I listen, lead, and support others.

Who I Work With

  • I work with high-capacity professionals: executives, rising leaders, and purpose-driven individuals who are successful by most measures yet sense there’s more. More focus, more alignment, more meaning.

  • They’re ready to grow not just in what they do, but in who they’re becoming.

What Guides My Work

  • I believe growth is ultimately an integrative process. When our work, relationships, and inner life are disconnected from a clear sense of purpose, even positive achievements can feel hollow or unsustainable. When they are aligned, clarity increases, choices sharpen, and leadership becomes more grounded and humane.

  • My coaching focuses on purpose, identity, and whole-person development. Rather than concentrating only on performance or tactics, I work with clients to explore the deeper drivers shaping how they lead—values, meaning, habits of mind, and the stories they live from—so they can lead with integrity, courage, and steadiness under pressure.

  • My own formation has been deeply shaped by the Christian tradition, though my work with clients is not faith-prescriptive. I meet people where they are and draw on approaches that resonate with their experience, coaching with warmth, rigor, and practical accountability to support growth that is honest, integrated, and sustainable.
